Corporate Development Analyst Role
Role Description: We are actively hiring a new Corporate Development Analyst to join our team. The Corporate Development Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Head of Corporate Development with:
Portfolio Corporate Development
Create materials and support live corporate development processes within the portfolio including fundraising, inbound and outbound M&A processes, and IPO readiness (e.g. valuation materials, merger and synergy analyses, fundraising materials, etc.)
Engage and nurture Fin Capital’s existing global network of Fortune 500 companies and venture capital and growth equity investors
Identify how to best reach potential portfolio company acquirers and investors through Fin Capital network
Track progress and success of all ongoing corporate development introductions (investors, acquirers, bankers) and initiatives
Horizontal Platform Support
Develop thematic best practice playbooks and toolkits for portfolio companies around fundraising, M&A, and IPO readiness
Prepare quarterly “value add” reports for portfolio companies
Build a metrics driven organization through evolved reporting, dashboards, and tracking channels to provide actionable insight on performance and growth opportunities
Strategic LP Support
Develop quarterly strategic overview presentations to guide Corporate Development focus areas for the next quarter with the top 15 strategic LPs
Develop market landscape reports on VC investor, capital markets, and M&A trends
Assist investment team with thesis development based on on-going relationships within FinTech investor and acquirer ecosystem
Community
Network with Corporate Development peers (e.g. CEO, CFO, Head of Corporate Development) at Fortune 500 companies that are likely acquirers of our companies
Network with platform and investment peers at other venture capital, growth equity, and venture debt firms
Network with investment banks that cover FinTech acquirers
Desired Skills and Experience:
1-4 years in investment banking or corporate development and financial technology experience
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conceptualize and communicate complex subject matter to a variety of audiences
Excitement to join and help scale a specialist VC focused on FinTech software in North America, UK/EU, LatAm, and Israel
Personable and engaging personality that can develop strong and long-lasting relationships across the portfolio and industry
